In this open plan renovation, the kitchen, dining area and living space all look onto each other. As a result, these shelves around the television needed to be something more than just a space to put objects.
We began by carefully surveying the client’s collections - each object told a story and earned a uniquely designed place. Additional spaces for books and concealed storage of the music collection made this piece both practical and intriguing. Your eye is drawn around the various artefacts and titles, painting a picture of the owner's past and triggering talking points. An artful display with a socialising effect on this communal family space.
