We designed a modern, light and highly functional kitchen for this elegant Lewes townhouse.

“Tom Wunsch and his team did an amazing job on our kitchen design and build. We could not be happier with the final result. Highly recommend this local and professional company.”

Looking between modern kitchen cabinets towards and open American fridge freezer

Our process began with the client, a chef, telling us that their kitchen needed to be suitable for everyday family life but also practical for broadcasting their online cookery classes. A layout focused around a large central island was essential for giving demonstrations as well as enabling a natural ease of movement throughout the room.

This unusually tall space had plenty of overhead light but a deceptively small floor plan so we created a design with lots of drawers and pull-out storage to maximise usability. An alcove in the external wall allowed us to set back the American style fridge freezer and tuck away deep pull-out pantry units. A matte white painted finish maintains a clean, minimal aesthetic throughout with added depth provided by the oak cabinet handles and floating shelves.
