Kitchen island and large pantry made from plywood and yellow Valchromat

In this large and bright space the clients wanted to create a kitchen where they could cook and entertain focused around a central island. Designed to be practical enough for everyday family life it also wanted to be contemporary and stylish. Making use of innovative and eco-friendly materials was an essential part of their brief.

The use of yellow Valchromat doors (made using wood fibres and organic dyes) accent the soft pink grain of the Garnica maple plywood. The worktops manufactured by Polygood are made from 100% recycled plastic (from repurposed refrigerators and single-use cutlery) and add a sense of movement and playfulness to the design.
