The Avenue

In this large family kitchen we kept the layout simple and light, allowing generous space for the whole family to gather together.

“Tom created a beautiful kitchen for us as part of our house refurbishment. Tom really invested in understanding what it was that we were trying to achieve and added to that fabulous ideas and sources that helped make the finished product stunning. We really feel he has made us a kitchen for life.”

A black electric Aga, bespoke solid oak island and white painted shaker cabinet doors

As part of an extensive eco-renovation of a Sussex Arts and Crafts home we were asked to design and make a beautifully crafted kitchen suitable for a large, busy family. Our clients wanted a kitchen whose use could change throughout the day. A place for children to do homework, for the family to catch up at the end of the day and room for everyone to lend a hand at mealtimes. They needed plenty of working space and storage, but crucially wanted the room to feel visually light and uncluttered.

We developed a rich palette of materials to use in this project. A band sawn oak double pantry, a weathered oak island, leather handles, dove-tailed drawers, honed black granite and concrete worktops all combined in perfect harmony.
